Notable Trash Mobs

Siege Bomb

The trash leading to Operator Thogar consists of the same adds that players will encounter during the Operator Thogar fight, so players can use the trash as a learning opportunity.

Melee must be careful to stay behind the Man-at-Arms to avoid  Reckless Slash damage. Interrupt the Firemenders'  Cauterizing Bolt when possible.

Ranged DPS and healers should be spread out to avoid splashing  Throw Grenade damage. Ranged DPS should focus on killing Iron Gunnery Sergeants when they are active.

Bomb target

Delayed Siege Bomb targets a random player with a debuff and a visible mark on their head.

  • The Gunnery Sergeant will lob three bombs at this target
  • The bombs deal damage and knock back any players standing in the impact zone
  • The targeted player should move away from the raid to place the Siege Bombs in an out-of-the-way area
  • Do not return to the raid until all three bombs have been placed
  • One minute after the Siege Bombs land, they will detonate, dealing very heavy Fire damage to all players within 8 yards

It is important for players to move away from Siege Bombs that are about to detonate. This is much easier if the original  Delayed Siege Bomb target has placed the bombs carefully.

Operator Thogar Tips & Strategy

Track numbers

The Operator Thogar encounter is a single-phase fight with a heavy emphasis on adds management, target prioritization, and raid awareness. Players fight Thogar on the tracks of the Foundry Terminus, and must dodge the deadly trains that hurtle across the tracks throughout the encounter.

The most important mechanic of the encounter is avoiding the  Moving Trains. Any player struck by a  Moving Trainwill die unless they have a powerful survivability cooldown or immunity effect active.

There are four train tracks that cross the encounter area, and in this guide they will be referred to by numbers as illustrated in the diagram, right.

Moving Trains

Occasionally, some trains will stop on the tracks and provide reinforcements - adds - that players must also defeat. The adds in this fight are identical to the trash in the zone leading up to Operator Thogar:

See the above Notable Trash Mobs section for tips on dealing with these enemies.

During the fight, these adds come in three different group configurations:

  • 4 Iron Crack-Shots and 12 Iron Raiders
  • 2 Iron Crack-Shots, 2 Grom'kar Firemenders, and 1 Grom'kar Man-at-Arms
  • 1 Iron Gunnery Sergeant
