Elemental Rune for the legendary questline can be obtained while on Might of the Elemental Lords.
Each Blackrock Foundry boss, as well as Highmaul bosses, has a unique achievement that counts towards Glory of the Draenor Raider. This rewards Gorestrider Gronnling. Iron Maiden's special achievement is Be Quick or Be Dead.
There are achievements for killing each Blackrock Foundry boss, as well as Highmaul bosses, on Mythic difficulty. Killing every boss rewards Mythic Draenor Raider, which allows you to place a special monument in your Garrison.
Notable Trash Mobs
There is very little trash between Operator Thogar and the Iron Maidens.
Earthbinders' Inferno Totem
Four Aquatic Technicians lurk in the water at the bottom of the elevator shaft. They do only Melee damage, but players should let the tanks jump into the water first so they can build threat on the Technicians.
Once players reach the docks, they will find several types of adds:
Damage will be very heavy if the raid stacks on Taskmasters and is widely affected by Reaping Whirl. One tank should hold the Taskmasters away from the group to avoid this, while melee DPS focus on Earthbinders. The Inferno damage is unavoidable, but will be manageable if Reaping Whirl is minimized.
Iron Maidens Tips & Strategy
Bombardment Pattern: Alpha
Bombardment Pattern: Omega
The Iron Maidens encounter is a council-style fight with three bosses (Admiral Gar'an, Marak the Blooded, and Enforcer Sorka).
- For most of the fight, players will be fighting all three bosses
- At 1:00, 4:20, and 7:40, one of the bosses will board the nearby Dreadnaught ship
- The boss with the lowest health at the time will go to the ship, but no boss can go twice
- There is little value in controlling which boss is sent at which time, although Marak > Garan > Sorka is a popular order
- A small group of players can travel to the Dreadnaught to prevent the boss from Warming Up and killing the raid
- For more details on what these players must do, see the Dreadnaught Team Responsibilities section below
During these phases, the Dreadnaught bombards the encounter area with a Bombardment Pattern that the remaining players must dodge.
At the start of the fight, tanks should pick up Marak and Sorka; Gar'an can be taunted and moved, but does not have a threat table and is not traditionally tanked. The bosses do not share a health pool, but players should attempt to kill them evenly; once one of the bosses reaches 25% health, all three bosses gain the Iron Will buff, setting them to 100 Iron Fury and granting their abilities additional damage every 20 seconds. This serves as a soft enrage mechanic.
The fight begins with each boss having two basic abilities, but the Maidens will gain more abilities as their Iron Fury increases.
- At 30 Iron Fury and again at 100 Iron Fury, each boss gains a new ability.
- The Maidens gain 1 Iron Fury every 6-7 seconds
- The Maidens reach 30 Iron Fury and gain a new ability at approximately 3:10
- When at least one boss reaches 25% health, or at
